Just finished a kitchen job and decided to go with epoxy grout, unfortunately when grouting, grout had gotten on the toe kicks of the cabnietry and the cabnets itself and suggestions on anyway to remove it

Hi there,

Well the first thing we need to know is what type of epoxy grout it is.

How long has it been down?

1st) Try to mechanically remove it by scraping it from the paint with a razor blade. The paint should act as a releasing agent from the wood.

You'll probably need to touch up the paint later.

Tell us what brand, and how much area has to be cleaned up. I have a few ideas.

The Rep,

You had posted in a previous post something about an abrashion removal. What were you talking about?

Jim,

I apologize, I intended to reply to that post, but somehow I lost track of it and then it slipped my mind completely.

There are a couple of products out there that use a superfine abrasive with a safe citrus based solvent. Bostik Findley's HydroClean, and Legge's TexSpar Plus. They will remove grout pigment, epoxy residue, greasy soil, just about anything. They can be applied, dampened, and then you can use a floor scrubber or do it by hand. Both are great products.
