In the (otherwise smooth) process of remodelling a rental appartment, I had ~650 squarefoot of Saltillo tile installed, the "better" type from Lowe's.
In my absence (had to work out of town), the tile was sealed. It was cleaned before sealing, but only marginally - as a result, there is plenty of grout on the tiles in some places. Now I'm back and would like to fix this, but I realize the grout is under the sealant.
Reading the related threads, I wonder what the best strategy would be to
a) get the sealant off (which I suppose is necessary to...)
b) get hardened grout out of the Saltillo tiles.
I'm also getting the impression that there are better options to seal with then the Lowe's stuff, but that's a separate topic.
Any advice would be most welcome.
Thanks,
Knut
