Hi,

I've just finished my granite countertops and floors, and thanks to the advise on this forum, have done a reasonably good job (better than I thought would happen).

My problem is that I now need to seal my very porus granite tile, and have been told at HD that I have two options.

1. Use their "stone enhancer and sealer" by itself.

2. Use a penentrating sealer and then a gloss finish sealer on top.

Ideally, I'd like to have the "wet look" with my tile, and as shiny as possible.

Would these two methods have similar results?

Also, all I have found are Tilelab products. I've seen some posts that say they are junk, so I may hunt for other stuff if that's the case.

Hi Jerry, welcome. :)

Two things: #1, stay away from Tile Lab. #2, I'm moving this Thread over to our Restoration section where our experts on this matter usually hang out. It's the weekend but one or more of them should be popping in from time to time. Hang in there. In the meantime, tells us what kind of granite you have.

Mike is right.

The very first information we need pertains to the material.

The name or a picher would be nice as well as whether or not it is polished.

Thanks,

PS I'll be out of touch until Monday.

PM me to let me know to return to this thread. However, there are several wonderfully talented individuals who may step in before I get back.

:)

Here is a picture of the tile. Not sure if it helps or not.

I'm pretty sure it's polished, as it is quite shiny and smooth out of the crate
