Scratched Saltillo Tile

Recently I had the Pre-Sealed Saltillo Tile installed in my kitchen. When the appliances were moved back into the kitchen white scratches were left. It's not paint from the applicances and I don't know what kind of sealer was used. I bought the tile from Home Depot. I've tried to buff the scratches out with a sponge but they aren't going away. I also have this horrible haze on the floor. I've used a damp sponge mop to get rid of it, but it isn't working. The floor is also very gritty. Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated. Who installed your floor? It sounds like you have residue & sand on the floor, besides the appliance scratches.

Lets address the haze first. Have you tried a vinegar and water solution? Test a small area first.

As far as the scratches, it depends on the finish. I recommend to check with HD, and try to find someone who is familiar with the product they are selling. I'm sure it's not the first case of a scratch on their prefinished saltillio.
