Hello everyone! I just finished installing a tile floor in my bathroom and I have some questions that need answered. How long do I wait to seal my grout? What should I use to seal my grout, and where should I get it? Instead of just sealing the grout lines can I just seal the whole floor at the same time? If I have to wait to seal the grout can I still use the shower? If I can use the shower what precautions should I take? Do I mop the floor? If so, how many times? etc..........................................
I apologize for all the questions but my area Lowe's and 2 other places have ALL given me conflicting answers. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Matthew

Dear Mattew:
You're gonna have to wait at least 72 hours before you apply an impregnator/sealer to your grout (a week is even better). In the meantime you can mop your floor at your heart content! :)
No, you don't need to seal your ceramic tiles.
About the "right" sealer and were to get it, it's not my habit to advertise any specific product after the TYW store cheased its operation. (I have a conflict of interest.) Just make sure that you get a water-repellent impregnator, solvent-carried. All water-carried products are only fair water-repellents.
Ciao and good luck,
