I recently had a honed limestone tile installed in my powder room. I sealed the tile with aquamix before it was installed and everything went well.
I orginally wanted to preserve the natural look of the limestone and not fill the holes in the tile since there would be no exposure to water or moisture in this room. Unfortunaley the tile man was not very presice when he installed the grout and the grout filled about a 1/4" of the holes around the border of each tile.
As a result, I asked him to fill in the balance of the holes to have a uniform look. When he "re-grouted" the tile, the was an excessive buildup of grout (unsanded) in all the corners and where the wall tile meets the floor. I now have very clean lines on the wall and the floor but the corners look like my 2 year old daughter performed the grouting.
How can I remove the excess grout without damaging the tile (which by the way is not polished)?
I've lost confidence in my tile guy and want to make sure I take the right approach.
