I have had black slate tiles laid in my kitchen. They have been finished with grey cement/grout. Some of this mixture has gone into the tile and I am finding it impossible to remove. Any tips?

yes, I have tried vinegar & water. It does take some of the marks off but it has embedded in the timy pores of the tile which I cant remove.

I have a similar problem on ceramic tile.

My tile is a dark rust brown and the grout is a light grey. I'm wondering what would happen if one dyed the unremovable grout?

May want to try an enhancing sealer to darken the grout if you cannot remove it. Test in a small area to see if it helps. It will also darken the slate really nice.

Thanks you for your advice. Where do I get the enhancer from and what is it called?

Hi Misfire :)

There are many on the market. Aqua Mix has a product called Enrich and Seal. Mbstone also has an enhancer that can be ordered on the internet. ;)
