I have a 4 year old limestone shower which continues to look good. It was sealed on installation as well as after two years with Aquamix Sealers Choice. How often should it be resealed and is there any special preparation beforehand? Water still beads on the surface of the tile. Thanks

Hi Steve :)
As long as water continues to bead, you should be good to go. What type of products are you using to maintain the stone with?

Dear Steve:
I concur with John. You don't need any written directions or anybody telling you when it's time to seal again. Your eyes are good enough!!;) :shades:
Ciao and good luck,

Thanks for the response. We are using a generic tile and stone cleaner. As limestone showers may be problematic, do you have any suggestions for products to be used for maintenance? Thanks for taking the time to share your expertise.

Dear Steve:
Tile and grout cleaners are usually acidic. And you do NOT want that with limestone!! :(
There are better products avialable.
You can get my guidelines for maintenance of residential stone installations by logging on the “Educational Literature” section of my web site listed below. They do carry a small price tag, but since we’re currently running a special promotion, you can have them for free just for the asking. But you’d better hurry up! Gimme a holler through the “Contact us” section!
Ciao and good luck,
