Type it u pin notepad (probably under 'start''programs''accessories''notepad'. Not really any need to even save. Highlight everything, right click, copy. Once you have the message box for the board, make sure the cursor is in the box, right click, paste. Lots of other ways, too, I suppose, but that is pretty easy.
Of course, now you will say you have a Mac!

Now that is exactly what doesn't work for me on this forum, some other forums, bot not all of them. Try it, let me know how it works for you.

This is a test using notepad.
Well, it works for me. I type it in, select all, right click copy, click in here, right click paste. Which Windows are you using? (I can't think of any reason it would matter, but this is a bit puzzling to me.)

I just figured something out...
from notepad, if I edit, select all, copy, then...
get to the message box with my cursor in it and paste...
nothing.
But, if I from notepad right click, select all, copy...then it will paste into the message box. Didn't know that. Problem solved, I think. Thanks

Maybe it's a long post, and he wants to make sure its correct, I do that sometimes. You can also post it elsewhere that way.

I'm on dialup and a pitifully slow typist. Right click works, pull down menus don't...at least for me...on this forum. I've tried it several times. Same results. Seems strange. I guess I'll work on my right click skills.
Pat:
I always have Outlook Express running, so I just use a new message to do the cut and paste when I need to do that. Mostly I cut from the reply box here on the forum and paste into OE to spell check if I have written something that wants to be spelled correctly.
Most of the time the spell checker would just laugh like hell on accounta I type in Texan 'steada English. :)
Same right click actions as you're using - that's the hand without the stone in it, by the way. :D

Hey Pat,
I know we talked about this before, and I don't mind telling you I'm happy that it's not just me telling you that I don't know what your problem is. :)
I don't use note pad a lot, so I'm not familiar with the moves there, but CX's approach -- using the blank email form -- is the way to go. I always have my email program running in the background anyway (Outlook Express, in my case). You can compose to your heart's content offline that way. Copy and paste. "Plug and play." :D
P.S. We don't allow HTML to be posted on the boards, because certain devious souls (if they are knowledgeable enough) can control certain functions of the boards using that script. (Ask JC about it.) Note Pad is an HTML capable appliance.
