Hi Everyone,
I have just returned from a very brief trip to Port Susan (Marysville) to visit my brothers and sisters. Had a mini family reunion. Port Susan is on the Tulalip Reservation halfway between Marysville and Stanwood.
Also, I was able to get out to Quilcene to visit with Mike Kimball. Only had a couple hours, but we had a great time trying to catch up on the past forty-five years since we've seen each other. Mike and his wife Sally have a great place sort of out in the country, right at the base of the foothills of the Olympic Range.
Then, back in Marysville, I met Bill Fox, who drove down from Bellingham for the get-together. We spent about three hours dicussing all the important (and not-so-important) events of years gone by. We agreed to make an effort to gather old schoolmates together for a picnic in Marysville during the summer of 2002. No specific plans yet, but we'll be contacting everyone we are able to.
I'll tell you, it's hard to believe it's been so long -- hard to believe we've gotten as old as we are. I couldn't help noticing that Mike and Bill weren't boys anymore. Took a peek in the mirror and discovered a few new wrinkles, a few new gray hairs on ME!
God, but time flies when you're having fun.
