I understand there is a way to dull up polished granite with an acid wash. I want to do this to some polished absolute black.
Any ideas?? Muramic acid is easy to buy...I may try that.
Thanks

Hi feded, Welcome :)
Are you a fed, and is your name Ed? :D
Most granites are unaffected by acid. It will probably need mechanical abrasion. ;)

Hi Feded :)
I recommend going at it mechanically, as well. Hydrofluoric Acid (Aluminum Cleaner & Brightener type products) may produce the desired look. The problem with acid in regard to finishing, is you have little, to no, control over the process. You could end up with a very discolored, splotchy granite, especially on Absolute Black. ;)
