grout coloring

I am finally ready to do this. I have a kitchen that we have had so much trouble with the grout. The contractor did not pre mix the bag of grout and now the color varies from dark chocolate to a light mocca. I had posted earlier that I did not want to color the grout because all examples I had seen looked painted. Tim Thomas (kemguru) came to my rescue and sent me his stain & sealer.
Now I am ready to start but I need some help. Do I acid wash first?
