Help! I posted a question yesterday and read an answer today but had to leave. Now I am back and I cant find it anywhere and I wanted to print out the answer for my husband. I cant log in to do it either. I have tried that since I ordered TYW products 2 weeks or so ago. Also, I have sent 2 emails requesting my password in case I have it wrong on my end, still nothing. Sorry to post this here, it wont let me email anyone directly.

I'll try to find it for you.

Give me a couple key-words to search on and/or what user name did you use for it?

Did you post it here, in this forum (Cleaning and Restoration?)

Hi Mike, I posted it on this board I'm pretty sure. And I think the subject was "mixing sealers". I used Tile Lab and am now using your sealer. I didn't know if it would turn the grout yellow. Thanks so much for your help.

Cindy,

I've searched 12 different ways to find your post, or your account. No luck. :(

I don't know what might have happened. Were you registered with the name cindymomtofour? I feel just terrible about this!

I don’t know what happened to that thread. I didn’t push any buttons. :D

No worries, Cindy. ;)

You sealed your grout with Tile Lab, but you are trying to apply Stone Armor over it. You were concerned because it took a couple of minutes for the grout to wet out when you applied the Armor, but it did eventually wet out. So the Armor is doing its job. :)

You were also concerned with potential yellowing of the joints. Armor will not yellow. I’ve not heard of a single case where Tile Lab yellowed. Quite a few folks have used Armor over Tile Lab, and I am yet to hear, or personally experience, any problems with doing so. :)

You also have a 4ft crack in a grout joint. You were worried that your cleaning technique may have caused it. Well, a toothbrush and bleach will not cause grout to crack like that. We are looking at a structural/installation issue.

How was the tile installed? (over plywood…4ft is the width of a sheet)
Joist size, spacing and unsupported span?
What, and how much, was used for the sub-floor?
Do you have perimeter expansion joints?

If it’s a little crack, you can use a caulk that is color-matched to your grout. This will “hide” the crack. I want to know what caused it to begin with, though. ;)

How did I do? :D
