I read a post on here about somebody looking for a guy who may be able to help him out fixing his truck/ van thingy. It gave me a thought (yup another one- third damn on this year).
How much is your fuel where you are?
UK = as follows
Leaded - 79.9p per ltr ($1.47)
Unleaded - 74.9p per ltr ($1.37)
Diesel - 63p per ltr ($1.17 - all USD and Approx)
I just hear that our government has stuck a little mor eon our fuel than your government (who just steals it - right?)

Hi Dan,
I'm paying around $1.65 per gallon for unleaded here (we don't use leaded anymore, and I'm not sure about diesel), or $0.43 per liter. Taxes and regulation are the only reason it's that high. Should be half that or less. :)

I'm about the same as DaveM
Of couse if i lived on an island i wouldnt have to drive so far for the jobs ;)
I have a daily commute to town of 15 miles 1 way.
I averaged 87.5 miles per work day last year.
If gas goes up 10 cents a gallon, its about 225.00 extra out of pocket per year.
If we hit 2.00 per gallon i will add a fuel surcharge to my already revised 2004 prices.
The fuel surcharge wont add up to alot per customer,(perhaps 10.00 -15.00 each depending on local)
However it adds up to costs over a year tremendously for my company.

Karen,
The refiners are getting even with you for not allowing them to pollute your countryside. :)

Your all talking gallons lol ahhhhh, WE PAY TOO MUCH damn it. Legal fraud!!! thats what it is!!! grrrrr
Here it is around 70 cents per liter. That's about $2 US dollars for a US gallon.I think the American gallon is 3.78 liters while the Imperial gallon is 4.54 liters.
I'm not sure but I think that Georgia consistently has the lowest fuel prices.Nice weather too. :D

Yeah, that's pretty impressive, even for California. Somebody's making money on that deal. ;)

Fuel is deffinately getting more expencive. I paid $2.19 per gallon yesterday for 92 Octane, and I've got four refineries within 15 minutes of me. People tried to organize a boycot of gas stations a while back and there was a pretty good turnout. Lots of people refused to patronize gas stations for a full day, and the next day the lines at those same gas stations were awfully long indeed. :) Good thing my boss gives me a gas card to use once a week!
Hey Richi! Who you working for up in Sacramento?

Actually the reason prices are so high is they had to shut down a few refineries for maintenance. :shake: :yeah:

That's funny. It's the same reason they gave for the huge energy crisis we had here a few years ago. "The law says we have to shut down all of the power plants for maintanance because we used up our yearly allowance of EPA emmissions early in the year, selling that power on the open market. Gee, we didn't expect that the laws of supply and demand would create such a huge profit for us when projected yearly demands couldn't be met by our idle fascilities." :deal:
"Bitter? Who me???"
