I am in the process of removing the lacquer from my brick kitchen floor. The grout/mortar was two very different shades of gray because it is installed at different times according to the previous owner. I like the look of the bare bricks and the lighter mortar. Question: is there a sealer that can be used on brick that will not darken the color of both the brick and the mortar? Maybe something with a matte finish?
Any help or other ideas appreciated.

I shot Tim an email on this one. I hope we've gotten an answer. :)

I am so sorry for the delayed response.
Aqua Mix Seal & Finish Low Sheen is what you’re looking for. It’s a topical sealer that will fill the pores of the brick and mortar, making it so much easier to clean. It is not a glossy coating. ;)
