Any thoughts on just mixing some of my grout powder into clear silicone to get a color match? Will it work? Will it adversely effect the adhesive properties and flexibility? I can get exact color match sanded caulk for my grout but it's $15 a tube and it isn't silicone so I don't want it. This is for a shower BTW. will use along the corners, and where wall meets acrylic base.

carter..dont think you could mix enough to get the color you want and stiil have the silicone adhere properly..you may be able to dust the bead. try a small spot and see how it goes.

I used these guys:

They were great and so is their product. Comes sanded or unsanded and matched perfectly. I think it was about $15 per tube, but 100% silicone.

EarthMaster (http://www.earthmasterproducts.com/)makes a caulk specifically to be mixed with your grout for a perfect match every time.

hmm, that Earth master just looks like it's a tube of silicone that comes with a plastic bag and measuring cup. Nothing special. If that works, why wouldn't just any 100% silicone work? I'll test it out and see.
