Welcome to the new Rosehill Forum. Those of you familiar with the old one will recall how many times it was out of order, slow, or just a pain in the you-know-what. This new board, on the other hand, is easy to use and dependable.

I will ask each of you to register. This is not in an attempt to collect information. It merely enables the board to recognize you each time you return. You don't even have to leave your real name if you choose not to. You can use an alias, although I think it would be a little silly not to use your own name on a board of this type. The whole point is getting in touch with other people and allowing them to contact you, either on the forum or by email.

Each time someone posts a reply to your message (or to a message you have replied to) you will be automatically notified via email (if you so choose). Registering also allows you to edit and delete your postings. You can also create a custom signature block that will appear automatically at the end of your posts.

Becoming a member of the Rosehill Forum makes you a member of the Tile Forum as well. It's just the way the thing works. The Tile Forum gets pretty interesting, though, and you may wish to check it out from time to time, especially if you are planning a do-it-yourself project. We have experts contributing on just about every construction related topic. We also have poets, wine experts, artists, gardeners, and people of other varied interests.

So please, everyone sign up. Pick a password you can remember, i.e. part of your name, your birthday, etc. Do not, however, list anything you don't want others to have access to. The password is secure, but security is in degrees on the Internet. Please do list your email address on the profile form. This will enable others to email you privately.

If you have any questions at all, please email me at: john@johnbridge.com (pat@johnbridge.com will go to my wife, Patti.)

During business hours (Central Time) you can reach us at 281-550-1124.

Thanks for signing up. I can't wait to read your first post.

Pat Bridge

P.S. I'm going to attempt to import the posts from the old forum. I can't guarantee I'll be successful, though. The old forum is located at: http://www.johnbridge.com/muk

Adding to this only to bring it to the top of the list. Even the Great Administrator doesn't have that power otherwise.

I am now semi-retired, meaning I take summers off completely and work part-time during the winters. In mid-May, 2007, Patti and I will be embarking on a long trip with our travel trailer in tow. From Houston we'll head west to Phoenix where we'll visit friends. Then on to So. Cal. where my oldest son, John, lives. Up through Cal visiting various nephews and nieces.

My younger sister, Colleen, is in Sacramento, so we'll spend a few days there, then up to Seattle/Tacoma. My brother's house in Tacoma/Federal Way is our base. We'll be there a month or so.

We'll head up through Western Canada to Alaska in August, then across Canada, down through Chicago, across Michigan and back into Canada. I have business in Montreal and in Plattsburgh, N.Y. From Upstate N.Y. we'll head to New England and spend a couple weeks visiting Patti's relatives. Finally, down through D.C., Virginia and the Carolinas to the Tile School near Clemson, where we'll spend a few days attending a special program for members of the John Bridge Forums.

We'll spend a couple additional weeks, probably, making our way back to Houston.

I would certainly enjoy meeting up with other old Mukilteo folks along the way. I'm easy to contact. My number is all over the Internet: 281-550-1124. Hope to be hearing from you. :)
