Jungle, December, 2000 Jungle Main Page John Bridge Home
Not really much new. I'm always afraid to add new things this time of year on the off chance there could be a serious frost. It's just that the jungle has taken on a certain different look. We have been spared any cold weather so far, and at 70 f. today, it seemed more like spring than winter.

| I know, a simple begonia, but outdoors in December? | This little pepper normally grows in USDA Zone 10 (tropical), but I grew this one from seed here in Zone 8b (Houston, TX) It's called "Holiday Cheer." |

| Yes, only impatiens and a small fern. | Norfolk Island Pine and Mexican Fan Palm (Washingtonia robusta) Ficus benjamina in background. |
May you enjoy all the best during this holiday season, and please return in the spring/summer, when the jungle will evolve into something else again.
